Historic Sexual Offences
In recent years, prosecutions for offences of historic sexual activity have been on the rise, primarily because prosecuting authorities have been able to take action without fear of reprisal. In doing so, there has been a shift from discriminating against the victim of sexual crimes, to discriminating against the suspect. It is our view that neither position is correct.
At Eldwick Law, we have been involved in some of the most high-profile, historic sexual offence cases including the recent and politically-sensitive Operation Yewtree. We fully understand the importance of handling the issues that arise from cases of this nature in a discreet and efficient manner. This enables us to minimise the damage to a suspect’s reputation and their relationships with family and friends.
If you are facing allegations of historic sexual activity, our expert solicitors can help you.
